Terms of Service
The terms on which we offer this website and, once orders open, the framework contract between us when you buy from us. For the detailed payment, delivery and return terms please see our separate Conditions of Sale.
Last updated: 28 February 2026
Eco-Bikes & Camping Supplies Co. shall not be held responsible for any misuse, illegal operation, or modification of products once they have left our workshop. Users operate all equipment at their own risk and are responsible for adhering to local laws and safety guidelines.
1. About us
This website is operated by EcoBike Camping Supplies Co., a sole-trader business based in Ayrshire, Scotland, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@ecobikecampingsuppliesco.com.
2. Using this website
By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time — the version in force is the one shown at the top of this page on the date you submit an enquiry or place an order.
3. Enquiries vs. orders
At present this website is a catalogue and enquiry site only. Submitting an enquiry through our contact form does not create a contract between us. It is a request for information; we will reply to discuss availability, suitability and price before any sale is agreed.
When we begin taking direct orders, the additional terms in section 7 will apply.
4. Product information
We take care to describe our products accurately, but the catalogue is updated periodically and minor specification changes may occur. Product images are illustrative; small variations in colour or finish are normal for handmade and naturally-occurring materials such as waxed cotton or ash wood.
5. UK road-legal e-bikes (EAPC compliance)
All electric bicycles listed on our site are sold as UK “Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles” (EAPCs) as defined by the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles Regulations 1983 and current guidance from the Department for Transport. This means:
- maximum continuous motor power: 250W;
- electrical assistance cuts out at 15.5 mph (25 km/h);
- pedal-assist only above 4 mph;
- rider must be 14 years old or over.
EAPCs do not require a driving licence, road tax, vehicle registration or compulsory insurance under UK law, but we still recommend you arrange third-party cycle insurance and wear an approved helmet.
Any bike that does not meet these specifications is not road-legal in the UK without registration as a motor vehicle and we will not knowingly sell such a bike for road use.
6. Intellectual property
The EcoBike Camping Supplies Co. name, the Ben Lomond medallion, all text, photographs and design elements on this website are our property (or used under licence) and protected by copyright and trade-mark law. You may not copy or reproduce them for commercial use without our written permission.
6a. Age restrictions
Certain products in our catalogue may only be purchased by adults:
- Bladed articles — knives, multi-tools with a locking blade, axes and other bladed bushcraft tools may only be purchased by persons aged 18 or over in line with the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and the Offensive Weapons Act 2019.
- E-bikes — Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles may be ridden by anyone aged 14 or over on the public highway; parents and guardians are responsible for supervising younger riders.
At checkout you will be asked to confirm you are of the required age for any item that carries an age restriction. Providing false age information is a criminal offence.
6b. Right to refuse service
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit any order at our sole discretion, including — without limitation — where:
- we have reasonable grounds to believe an age-restricted item is being purchased by, or for, someone under the minimum age;
- a delivery address or billing detail cannot be verified;
- a product was listed at a manifestly incorrect price;
- fulfilment would breach any UK law or the manufacturer’s import restrictions;
- we reasonably suspect the intended use is unlawful or dangerous.
Where we refuse or cancel an order after payment, we will refund the full amount to the original payment method within 14 days.
7. When orders open (future)
7.1 Forming a contract
When direct orders open, placing an order through our website will constitute an offer. A binding contract is formed only when we send a dispatch confirmation email. Until then we may decline an order (for example if a product is out of stock or the price was listed in error).
7.2 Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include UK VAT where applicable. We accept payment via the payment providers listed at checkout. Delivery charges, if any, are shown before you confirm your order.
7.3 Your right to cancel (distance selling)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the day you receive your goods to change your mind. To exercise this right, email us at hello@ecobikecampingsuppliesco.com stating you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods in unused condition. Return shipping is at your cost unless the goods were faulty or wrongly described.
Exception: bespoke or custom-finished items (for example, bikes with custom adaptive modifications made to your specification) are not eligible for the 14-day cooling-off period once production has started.
7.4 Faulty goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
We are required by law to provide goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something is faulty:
- Within 30 days: you have the right to a full refund.
- Within 6 months: you are entitled to repair, replacement or refund (faults within this period are presumed to be present at delivery unless we can show otherwise).
- After 6 months and up to 6 years: you may still be entitled to a remedy if the fault relates to the durability of the goods.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any single order shall not exceed the price you paid for that order.
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses (for example, loss of profit, loss of opportunity), nor for any damage caused by the misuse of a product against its instructions.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
